Shock as SC Villa parts ways with manager Dan Mubiru

December 28, 2022

It seems like the relationship between Uganda Premier League record champions SC Villa with team manager, Dan Mubiru is no more.

This is according to reliable sources.

It should be recalled that Mubiru joined Villa in November 2019.

This was as he was replacing John Luyimbazi who got sacked by the club.

One of the major reasons cited by several sources for the sacking of Mubiru has been poor and inefficient planning for the club.

An example is the game between SC Villa and KCCA FC which saw the team travel late to Lira.

Former SC Villa Greek coach Petros Koukouras revealed how Mubiru a former SC Villa player masterminded his sacking.

Koukouras stated that his relationship with Mubiru was a sour one.

“Our relationship was never good. From the first week he was appointed as team manager, the problems began.”

While talking to Daily Monitor, the Greek said that Mubiru had a poor relationship with the players and always disorganized them.

“He had a very poor relationship with most players and he was disorganising the players, especially days before the matches.”

This is something that was refuted by Mubiru who claimed to have had a good relationship with the Greek international.

Mubiru will officially hand over office at the end of this year.
