Allan Kateregga reveals why his transfer to South Africa failed

Uganda Cranes player Allan Kateregga aka the dancing rasta has revealed why he’s transfer to South Africa failed.

The midfielder is one of the most talented players of his era.

And somewhere, Kateregga looked to be on the rise to stardom but somehow his career stunted.

Allan Kateregga saw a transfer to South African club Cape Town City FC fail.

While appearing on NBS Sport, Kateregga said that he didn’t fail to make it because of footballing reasons.

It was rather administrative issues.

Kateregga who now plays in the DRC for FC Saint Eloi Lupopo said that he played very well while there.

However, paper work brought problems for him.

It took long to process them and they finally had to ship out of the country.

And besides had lots of foreign players who they couldn’t accommodate as per the league demands.

He also added that after the AFCON, he decided to make a decision for the better of his career thus a move to DRC.

Kateregga also added that he’s currently one of the best players at his club where he was instrumental in helping them qualify for the CAF Confederations Cup.

The former KCCA midfielder also talked about the Cranes chances in the CHAN tournament.

He credited Micho’s experience which he said will be key in helping the Cranes.

According to Kateregga, the Serbian might not play the attractive football of flair that Ugandans want but his tactics are good.

Kateregga also further said that he hopes to make it back to the national team fold.

The 28 year old last featured for the national team in 2021 after falling out and clashing with FUFA.
