It’s said that after a search was mounted, he was pulled from the rubble.
“Christian Atsu has been found alive and is recovering in hospital after being pulled from the rubble following two devastating earthquakes that hit Turkey and Syria.”
He however had breathing difficulties and had suffered an injury to his right foot.
Reports further indicated that the Hatayaspor player was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Atsu was on the scoresheet for his side over the weekend in the Turkish Super Lig.
He scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Kasimpasa.
The player or his management are however yet to issue an official statement over the matter.
However the earthquake which hit southern Turkey and Northern Syria has so far killed over 4000 people.
