Is Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu dead? Here’s the full details after horrible earthquake in Turkey

Following the devastating news of a severe earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria, a lot of people have died and thousands are said to be missing.

News has it also that former Premier League player Christian Atsu was among those missing.

A number of people and his former teams went ahead to post about
this wish for good news.

His former Ghanaian teammate Asamoah Gyan took to his Twitter page to express his shock and worry.

Newcastle where the winger played in the Premier League also expressed their prayers and hopes for the player.

It seems like however there is some positive news.

Confirmed sources state that Atsu was eventually found and he’s not dead as per some earlier sources.

It’s said that after a search was mounted, he was pulled from the rubble.

“Christian Atsu has been found alive and is recovering in hospital after being pulled from the rubble following two devastating earthquakes that hit Turkey and Syria.”

He however had breathing difficulties and had suffered an injury to his right foot.

Reports further indicated that the Hatayaspor player was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Atsu was on the scoresheet for his side over the weekend in the Turkish Super Lig.

He scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Kasimpasa.

The player or his management are however yet to issue an official statement over the matter.

However the earthquake which hit southern Turkey and Northern Syria has so far killed over 4000 people.
