Sources coming in indicate that all is not well for Wankulukuku based Uganda Premier League, Express FC.
This is after the players have rejected turning up for training.
It’s said that these are protesting over unpaid salaries which have spanned over a period of 4 months.
And for yesterday’s training session at Makindye Barracks, it’s reported that only 8 players turned up.
These players are said to have informed the club’s CEO, Isaac Mwesigwa how they won’t be returning to training if there arrears are not fully paid.
Besides the players have also demanded for a meeting with the club’s chairman, Kiryowa Kiwanuka before they resume their second round of UPL games.
Express is slated to take on UPDF at the Muteesa II stadium.
The Red Eagles at the beginning of this season unveiled BetSure as their new sponsor.
A deal worth Shs 1.5b was signed and it’s therefore not clear why payment of players has not yet been effected.
