Vipers new coach Beto Bianchi reportedly facing the sack after disastrous run

February 22, 2023

The saying goes that no rich person wants to be given a hard time. while enjoying their money but it seems Vipers is doing this to their owner, Dr Lawrence Mulindwa.

And if things go like this henceforth, the new Brazilian coach Beto Bianchi and his assistant Roberto Martinez might end up getting sacked.

Vipers is currently on a run of 6 games minus finding the back of the net.

Among these games includes a 5-0 thrashing by Morocco’s Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League.

There was also a 0-0 draw with Guinean side Horoya AC at St Mary’s Kitende. This was in the second game of the Champions League.

Vipers also drew nil nil with the Jinja North United in the Stanbic Uganda cup.

They only progressed to the round of 16 after spotkicks which they won by 7-6.

The other games are a 1-0 loss to Busoga United and yesterday’s nil nil draw with Wakiso Giants.

And odds are high that if things continue like this, Bianchi might find himself packing out of Kitende.

There has been a number of question marks especially his team selection.

Mulindwa yesterday stormed out of St Mary’s Stadium seemingly angry due to the continued poor form of the team.

And if Bianchi is left until the end of the season and doesn’t either win the league title or Uganda Cup. Mulindwa might ‘Abramovich-se’ him.

Vipers next game is against Tanzanian giants Simba SC at St Mary’s on Saturday 25th.

They are currently third in Group C with one point and this will be a very crucial game for either sides.

In the UPL league, the Venoms are 4 points behind KCCA who are the table leaders.

Vipers will visit Arua Hill in their next league game on March 1st.
