Alex Isabirye off to a bright start at Vipers

New Vipers SC coach Alex Isabirye has started his time at the Kitende based side on a bright note.
This is after he guided the club to the quarterfinals of the Stanbic Uganda cup.
Vipers edged out Wakiso Giants in a penalty shootout in the Wakiso derby.
The game ended 1-1 in normal time before the sides headed to a penalty shootout.
Halftime saw the two sides tied at nil nil.
However, Wakiso Giants found the net through Kimbowa as early as the 47th minute in the second half.
Vipers looked headed for the exit at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium not until defender Ashraf Mandela found the back of the net with a superb low powerful shot after a cutback from Martin Kiiza.
The game ended 1-1 and the Uganda Premier League sides headed straight away into the penalty shootout.
Bright Anukani, Martin Kiiza, Abubaker Lawal and Hilary Mukundane all tucked away their penalties into the back of the net.
George Kaddu, Rahmat Ssenfuka and Moses Aliro scored for the hosts.
However, Vipers goalie Fabien Mutombora saved a penalty and Tom Matsiko hit the woodwork.
This automatically sent the Venoms through to the last 8.
Vipers meanwhile also managed to score a goal from open play.
They had failed to score in 6 games under Brazilian tactician Beto Bianchi.
