Erling Halaand breaks PSG duo Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe UCL records

Manchester City were landslide winners in their second leg of the UEFA Champions League clash against German side RB Leipzig.
Pep Guardiola‘s side thumped the Germans 7-0. In a game which saw Man City forward Erling Halaand break PSG duo Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe‘s records in the competition.
The Norwegian is currently the youngest player to reach 30 goals.
He did this at just the age of 22 years and 236 days in just 25 games.
French forward Kylian Mbappe recently held the record having achieved it at 22 years and 352 days.
However for his case, it was in 48 games. But the two youngsters did it quicker than the two all time UCL top scorers, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Further, Halaand became the third player in UCL history to score 5 goals in a Champions League game.
The other two are Lionel Messi against Bayer Leverkusen in 2012 and Luiz Adriano.
Halaand put City ahead in the 22nd minute with a penalty in a controversial decision.
He was in the right spot to nod in his second of the night after Kevin Debruyne‘s shot smashed off the post back into play.
The lanky striker completed his fifth hattrick of the season after tapping in Ruben Dias‘ effort which wandered in front of the goal off the post.
Ikay Gundogan netted City’s 4th soon as the second half restarted.
Halaand was again in the right spot to score City’s 5th and his fourth of the night after Leipzig failed to clear their lines in the 53rd minute after a corner kick.
The former Borussia Dortmund stiker netted his fifth before the 60th minute after Leipzig failing to defend a corner.
He was replaced in the 63rd minute with Julian Alvarez coming on for him. He helped protect his Argentina captain Messi’s 5 goal record in a single UCL game.
