English Premier League leaders Manchester City and Arsenal who occupy the second spot have received a lion’s share in the 2022-23 best performers awards. For the manager of the season award, 6 managers have been nominated.
Arsenal‘s Mikel Arteta, Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, Necastle’s Eddie Howe, Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi and Fulham’s Marco Silva are the nominees for the award.
When it came to the young player of the season, Arsenal had 3 players out of the 8 players nominated. These are Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard. Manchester City has only Erling Halaand. Brighton has two players in Moises Caicedo and Alexis Macallister.
The other two spots are occupied by Newcastle’s Alexander Isak and Sven Botman.
The best player of the season has 7 nominees. Both City and Arsenal have 4 nominees. Each club has two with Arsenal’s Odegaard and Saka making the cut. Halaand and Kevin de Bruyne featured for Manchester City.
Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, Tottenham Hotspurs Harry Kane and Newcastle’s Kieran Trippier are the other nominees.
