Video: Watch as Messi graces Coldplay concert on same day PSG are crowned champions

If there is one thing that is clear now, it’s that Lionel Messi is done and dusted with French giants Paris Saint Germain.

The Argentinean despite being the goalscorer of the goal that handed PSG their record breaking Ligue 1 11th title, he wasn’t present at the crowning ceremony.

Messi instead was in Barcelona at a Coldplay concert. The fans on spotting him couldn’t contain chanting his name.

The World Cup winner has been in scintillating form for the Parisiens as he’s netted 16 league goals and 16 assists on his second season.

Messi however won’t be staying in France as he seems to have fallen out with the club and the fans. This was specially after Argentina‘s world cup triumph over France in 2022 in Qatar.

Meanwhile the 7 time Ballon D’or winner broke some records over the weekend. And it seems the records don’t follow Cristiano Ronaldo but rather Messi.

His goal against Strasbourg confirmed him as the topscorer in Europe’s top 5 league goals. It took him to 496 goals one above Ronaldo but in 49 fewer games.

Messi also equalled his former teammate and Brazilian Dani Alves trophy haul of 43. The GOAT is now tied for the most trophies won in football.
