Morley Byekwaso takes up assistant role at SC Villa

Former KCCA coach Morley Byekwaso has taken up the role of assistant coach at record league champions SC Villa. This is after the club made different appointments in its hierarchy.
The club also went ahead to appoint Stojanovic as their new head coach. Apparently many people have seen this as a downgrade for the former KCCA and Villa player but he doesn’t see it that way.
Morley Byekwaso is optimistic that he will learn quite a lot from a foreign coach.
“I thank the management of Villa for honouring me. It’s not any easy job but our work and commitment will lead us to success.”
“Working as an assistant coach is not degrading. I have always wanted to work with white people to learn new things. Have worked with local coaches as an assistant and so this is the best chance in my life to learn new things from a foreign coach.” Said Byekwaso.
Previously, Byekwaso has coached the likes of SC Victoria University, Simba FC and KCCA FC.
Isaac Mwesigwa was also appointed as the CEO of the Jogoos.
“Sports Club Villa is pleased to announce DUSHAN STOJANOVIC as the manager of the Men’s Senior Team on a Two Year Deal. Dushan is a Serbian Nationality with UEFA A License. He previously coached OFK Beograd, FK Cukaricki, FC Krasnodar in Russia, Egyptian Giants SC Zamalek, Zambia National team with the latest being FK Rad and FK Vojvodina.
Dushan will be deputized by MORLEY BYEKWASO OCHAMA who has a rich background and knowledge about Ugandan football with much emphasis on Youth Talent Development.
We also welcome ISAAC MWESIGWA who has joined us as our Chief Executive Officer for the coming seasons. Isaac is knowledgeable about managing a football club and he’s going to work towards fulfilling our objectives and goals.
The club will benefit from the expertise of the individuals above as our major ambition is to compete for trophies and return to glory days.
The manager and his assistant will be expected to take charge next week whereas the CEO has already started his duties.
