Could there be one more final dance for Nicolas Pepe at Arsenal?

It seems the sour love between Ivorian winger Nicolas Pepe and Arsenal is not yet over. It has been widely reported that the player will move out of the club as he enters the last year of his contract.

Furthermore it was reported that Mikel Arteta informed the 26 year old how he was out of his plans. However it seems the Spaniard has changed his stance about Pepe. Reports coming indicate that the former Lille footballer met up with the Gunners head coach to discuss his future.

And the talks are reported to have been positive. It seems Arteta is poised to give Pepe another chance and he will be as a backup winger for Bukayo Saka.

The Englishman is one of the most used players at the club. He plays game in game out and he showed clear signs of being worn out at the end of last season. This without a doubt had a negative impact on his performance.

With the Gunners having not signed a winger to provide backup for the 22 year old, it would make sense to incorporate Pepe back into the squad.

He also took to his Instagram stories and posted a picture inside Arsenal’s London Colney training ground. It should be recalled that Pepe was signed from Lille in 2019 by Unai Emery for a club record fee of 72m pounds by then.
