Is Gabriel Magalhaes leaving Arsenal? Here is the whole truth

August 22, 2023

Arsenal fans  have recently become concerned about the absence of Brazilian defender Gabriel Mahalhaes over failure to start two of the starting games of the English Premier League.

It should be noted that the former Lille defender is into his third year in North London where he has established himself as a key figure for the Gunners.

The 25 year old has made over 100 appearances for the club and has been a key figure starting almost every game. However he is yet to start a league game. He started on the bench in the league opener in the 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest at the Emirates.

The Gunners vice captain also started on the bench in last night’s hard fought 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in the London derby. Magalhaes only came in after Takehiro Tomiyasu was shown a red card in the 67th minute.

This has raised concern amongst the Gooners since the player is one of the most loved ones. And it was revealed that he wasn’t out for injury concerns but rather tactical changes.

Saudi Pro League Al Ittihad is said to have shown interest in signing him. But according to the transfer guru, the player isn’t going anywhere and he is considered untouchable by Mikel Arteta.

“Understand Arsenal have no intention to sell Gabriel Magalhães despite Al Ittihad interest  #AFC Arsenal not even intending to indicate a price tag for Brazilian center back at this stage. He’s expected to stay..”
