Arsenal and Manchester City dominate 2023 PFA Awards

Last night saw the 50th PFA Awards go down where Arsenal and Manchester City dominated the winners list. Just like the two sides dominated the league last season with City edging Arsenal by 5 points, they just swept the Awards clean.
Manchester City forward Erling Haaland who has been in scintillating form picked up the Player’s Player of the Year Award.
The Norwegian had to beat now Bayern Munich English striker Harry Kane, City teammate Kevin De Bruyne and 3 others to the award.
Halaand netted a staggering 36 EPL goals, a league record as the Citizens won the league for a 3rd consecutive time. He was also pivotal as Pep Guardiola’s side won the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League to a cement a place in history as treble winners.
Bukayo Saka saw himself walk away with the young player accolade. He beat his Arsenal teammate, Brazilian, Gabriel Martinelli.
Saka netted 15 goals and 15 assists as the Gunners went toe to toe with Manchester City in the League.
The PFA team of the year had 5 Manchester City players, 4 from Arsenal and one apiece Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspurs.
Nigerian singer David was the headline performer at the awards gala.
