Uganda Cranes defender returns to SC Villa

Uganda Cranes defender Gavin Kizito Mugweri has returned to former club SC Villa.
Gavin Kizito rejoins SC Villa as a free agent following the termination of his working contract at Egyptian side Al-Ittihad Alexandria.
Kizito who had stints at SC Villa in 2022 before joining Egyptian side Al-Ittihad Alexandria has been training with SC Villa for the past one month.
The experienced defender has put down pen on paper a two year working contract with the Jagoos.
He rejoins SC Villa as a direct replacement of captain Gift Fred who departed to Tanzania’s Yanga Africans.
SC Villa’s head coach Dusan Stojanovic will relie more on Kizito’s services as the club will be eying Uganda Premier league title which they last won in 2004.
Last season, SC Villa was about to be crowned Champions but lost out on last day to URA.
