Arsenal fans happy with the latest Bukayo Saka news

October 6, 2023

Arsenal fans have been left happy and hopeful that one of their key players, Bukayo Saka will be available for the mouthwatering clash against Manchester City on Sunday.

Saka has been and is still a doubt for this game. However, Gareth Southgate named him in the England squad for the upcoming international break. This has therefore left the Gunners hoping that he makes the matchday squad on Sunday.

Apparently Bukayo Saka limped off in the Gunners first loss of the season as they played RC Lens in the UEFA Champions League. The 22 year old attempted a backheel and felt a twitch in his hamstring and had to be substituted.

Saka’s injury scare had been ongoing for a couple of games. This was after the heavy knock he sustained in the North London derby draw against Tottenham Hotspurs last month.

Mikel Arteta however opted to keep playing him since he has no formidable backup for the Hale End academy graduate.

“He’s [Saka] still being assessed so obviously they’ve got a big game this weekend. And then there’s another seven days before we play Australia and then another ten days before Italy, so we’ll monitor everyone.”

It’s not yet clear if the Gunners will have their star player on the weekend. And if so if they will let him depart for national team where he’s been impressive whenever called upon.
