Bad news for Paul Pogba as he tests positive again for banned substances

October 6, 2023

Juventus and French midfielder faces a very tumultuous future after his second test tested positive for banned substances. Pogba in a random test from Juventus players tested positive for testosterone. It’s a drug banned from being taken by athletes as it enhances their performance and endurance levels.

When the news was broken, the 30 year old was temporarily banned from taking part in any footballing activity in Italy. His agent Rafael Pimenta at the time said that. “What is certain is that Paul Pogba never wanted to break a rule.”

A counter analysis test was requested by Paul Pogba and Juventus with the results being released today. This spells doom for the former Manchester United player who has seen his career derailed by injuries in the past two years.

Besides Pogba rejoined the Old Lady from Manchester United at the start of the 2022-23 season. However he managed a handful of appearances because of injury.

Furthermore he had expected to make a full return to regular playing but this seems far from reality now. With this positive test, Pogba might get a ban from playing football for a period of about 4 years.

By the time he returns, he will be about 34 years. It’s now waited to see how Juventus will proceed about his contract with the club too being married with different financial discrepancies. Apparently this even saw UEFA remove them from it’s competitions for this season .
