October 27, 2023

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has come out the defense of his teammate, Alejandro Garnacho over alleged racial abuse. It was reported that the FA was investigating the Argentinean’s social media post regarding to Onana.

Apparently when the Cameroonian saved a stoppage time penalty against Copenhagen to earn United their first UCL win in this Champions League, different players serenaded him to celebrate.

Garnacho later took to his Instagram page and posted Onana celebrating with his teammates. He attached gorilla emojis which is usually seen as an abusive gesture towards blacks.

However, the former Inter Milan and Ajax goalie took to social media and said that there is nothing to investigate. This is because he won’t allow anyone to dictate what is used to hurt him.

Besides he knows what Alejandro Garnacho was referring to by the gorilla emojis. And this is power and strength.

Manchester United have now so far won 3 games on the bounce in all competitions. Although they have to grind out results, they have definitely relieved some pressure off themselves.

Next they play their local rivals, Manchester City on Sunday in a mouth watering League encounter.
