Cristiano Ronaldo To Miss Al Nassr Game Against Inter Miami
February 1, 2024
Due to a calf injury, Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Al Nassr’s friendly against Inter Miami, the team’s longtime nemesis, on Thursday, the Saudi club’s coach said on Wednesday.
“Cristiano is nearing the end of his recuperation to reunite with the group,” Luís Castro stated during a press conference on Wednesday.
“We expect that he can begin to work with the team in the next few days. He will be an element that will be absent from the game.”
The match, which was scheduled to take place in Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena, was advertised as the last club match between the two players who dominated European football for ten years, most notably when they played for Real Madrid and Barcelona at the same time.
Al Hilal, the top team in the Saudi Pro League, defeated Messi and Inter Miami 4-3 on Monday. The SPL break and the nation hosting the Asian Cup have kept Al Nassr out of action since December 30, putting them seven points behind Al Hilal in second place.
