Express and Soltilo Bright Stars UPL game ends in stalemate

In Thursday’s 1-1 draw between Soltilo Bright Stars and Express FC at Kavumba Recreation ground, Ashraf Mulindi helped his team to a point. The Red Eagles had taken the lead at the beginning of the second half thanks to Isaac Wagoina.
Express FC entered this match having suffered consecutive losses from the second round’s restart.
Two minutes into the second half, Steven Ssenfuma was fouled in the restricted area, and Wagoina gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot.
With five minutes remaining in standard time, Mulindi, a second-half substitute, tied the score for the hosts. Mulindi’s goal was sufficient to give the home team a point, putting them at 22 points and in 11th place in the Uganda Premier League standings.
Express FC is now ninth in the rankings with 26 points as a result of the draw.
In another match, Mbarara City defeated Busoga United at Kakyeka Stadium thanks to a goal from Namasa Edward in the first half.
With 23 points, Mbarara City is now ranked 10th on the log, while Busoga United is ranked 14th with 15 points.
