Kitara FC provides medical update about Jude Semugabi concussion

The top-ranked team in the Uganda Premier League, Kitara FC, released a statement regarding Jude Semugabi, their striker. Frank Iga took Semugabi’s place during the close victory over the Wakiso Giants on Tuesday due to a concussion.
But the most recent information from the team is that Semugabi was released, and the medical staff will keep an eye on him.
“Our player Jude Ssemugabi was this evening evacuated off the pitch in an ambulance and rushed to Mirembe hospital in Masindi after he fell and lost consciousness during our Uganda premier league match against Wakiso Giants FC.”
“At the hospital, resuscitation was done plus other medical procedures and he stabilized. A scan was further done and nothing abnormal was detected on the internal organs.”
“Semugabi has been discharged and the club medical team will closely monitor him from home.” Read a statement from the club.
With 39 points, Kitara FC leads the Uganda Premier League standings. They will play their next match on Sunday, a Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 matchup against SC Villa.
