KCCA And Vipers Lock Horns

March 15, 2024

Livingstone Mbabazi, the head coach of Vipers SC, will be in the dugout on Friday night when his struggling team plays KCCA FC under Kitende’s floodlights.
Mbabazi was unable to play in Vipers’ prior Stanbic Uganda Cup matches against Iganga Young FC and their 4-0 triumph over Wakiso Giants because of illness.

The strategist has pushed his players to give it their all before the thrilling match, anticipating a fantastic encounter between the two teams.

“We would love to see each player give 110% and I am sure it’s going to be a good game for the fans. I am sure KCCA FC is going to bring good football, Vipers is going to bring good football but at the end of the day, whoever wants it more will win it,” said Mbabazi as he added,

“We shall make sure we do our level best to get maximum points so as to stay in the race. We have 22 players and each is ready to play.”

KCCA FC is tenth on the list with 27 points, nine points behind the Venoms despite having played one extra game. The Vipers are presently third with 35 points.

Allan Okello, the former playmaker for KCCA FC, will be up against Bright Anukani and Moses Waiswa, his former employers.

It is anticipated that Ghana’s Fumador Awisome may miss the match due to an injury.

Because of card accumulation, KCCA FC’s lucky man Muhammad Shaban is suspended for the match, and Alex Emmanuel Wasswa is sidelined with an injury.

Usama Arafat is in Ghana for the African Games with the U-20 National team.

Ashraf Mugume, who has been playing well for KCCA FC, will be up against both head coach Abdallah Mubiru and his previous employers.
