Jurgen Klopp says Arsenal will beat Manchester United

Jurgen Klopp Aresnal. Following his team’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United, Jurgen Klopp offered an open assessment of Arsenal. At Old Trafford, Luis Diaz gave Liverpool the lead. It was after a first half that was controlled by the visitors. They also missed opportunities from Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Liverpool began the second half of the match in much the same way. However, they were taken aback by a wonder goal from Bruno Fernandes, United’s first attempt on goal, which tied the score. Kobbie Mainoo then gave United the lead with a wonderful goal with just over 20 minutes remaining in the game.

Arsenal staying atop the title race appeared to be one of the major consequences of their defeat to their fierce rivals. However, Harvey Elliot drew a foul from Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the closing minutes of normal time, and Salah converted from 12 yards to tie the score once more.

Despite intense effort from both teams to win, the result was a draw, keeping Liverpool in second place behind the Gunners on goal differential. After the thrilling four-goal match, Klopp found that Liverpool was not playing at its clinical best in Manchester.

“We should have won the game, that is clear, but we caused a few problems for ourselves,” he admitted to Sky Sports. “Controlled the game, scored the first one, wonderful. Should have had more goals in the first half already and they had no shot on target in the first half at all so one nil is the lowest of possible results then, that is all it is.

“We make our mistakes, well executed in the end, really well done from Bruno. The stadium is coming, we needed to settle and then by that time there is another screamer, wonderful goal, but then we found a way back in the game. Before they scored we had big chances, after they scored we had big chances, and in the end we only used two.”

Reacting after the game, the German said that: “Arsenal is a good football team and if [United] play like today, Arsenal will win that game, I’m 100% sure. I’m really sorry to say that but this is a matter of fact. We should’ve won both games and didn’t. That’s our fault.”
