More coaches exit at URA FC following David Obua’s sacking

David Obua, a former Uganda Cranes international has departed the Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club, as have two of his assistants. After five months on the job, Obua’s departure was confirmed by URA FC on Friday.
The former forward for the Uganda Cranes was given a one-year job contract in November of last year.
At URA FC, his assistants Peter Byaruhanga Adyeri and Kawa, the fitness coach, have both been told the door. At URA, Obua played 20 games, winning eight, losing eight, and drawing four.
Robert Mukasa will now be in charge of the revenue collectors in the interim while a permanent coach is chosen.
Ilic Milosh, Allan Owiny, Robert Ssentongo, and goalkeeping coach Swaibu Ssebagala will support him.
The names nominated for the open head coaching position are former SC Villa coach Petros Koukouras and head coach Alex Isabirye Musongola of Vipers SC and Express FC.
