Referee Ali Sabilla gave the home team a penalty in the 67th minute after Rogers Torach was found to have fouled Jude Semugabi.

However, replays demonstrated that there was absolutely no touch.

Given the chance, former Venom Paul Mucureezi easily defeated Jack Komakech from a distance of 12 yards.

The game went all the way to extra time, where both teams were forced to settle for a one-all tie in regular time.

Vipers were given a penalty kick in the first extra time period, and replacement Bright Anukani converted it to give the visitors the advantage.

After defender Hillary Mukundane handled the ball in the prohibited area, Kitara was given another penalty.

Mucureezi assumed control once more and gave the side led by Brian Ssenyondo parity.

Abdul Karim Watambala’s penalty was saved by goalie Jamil Kiyimba, and penalties were used to determine the winner.

Rogers Torach, Patrick Mbowa, and Anukani scored the goals for them.
