Scottish team Dundee United FC has released 11 players, including striker Sadat Anaku of Uganda.
Anaku departs from Dundee United after the team decided not to extend his contract, which was set to expire on May 31.
“..and therefore we can provide an initial squad update on players who will be departing the club upon the expiry of their contracts…” Reads part of the club statement
” Sadat Anaku, Mark Birighitti, Layton Bisland, Logan Chalmers, Flynn Duffy, Declan Glass, Scott McMann, Archie Meekison, Chris Mochrie, Craig Moore and David Wotherspoon will all leave Dundee United this summer..”
Anaku, who signed a two-year contract with Dundee United after leaving KCCA FC in August 2022, has struggled due to an achilles injury that has kept him out of action for over a year.
Anaku played 14 games in his rookie season, including two starts, and only tallied one assist before suffering an unlucky injury.
After being relegated the previous season, Dundee United was recently promoted back to the Scottish Premiership.
