UPL. The 2023–24 Uganda Premier League Secretariat has made public the plans for the champion’s coronation.
According to UPL, FUFA President Moses Magogo and other notable visitors will be present at Philip Omondi Stadium, the beautiful location where NEC FC will play current league leaders SC Villa.
The coronation event will take place on Sunday if Kitara wins the title, but the crowning ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 18, should SC Villa, BUL FC, or Vipers emerge victorious.
With 54 points, SC Villa tops the table, followed by BUL FC and Vipers SC, who are ranked second and third, respectively, with 53 points.
In the championship game, SC Villa will try to win their record-tying 17th league title away from NEC FC, while BUL FC will face Busoga United, who will be relegated.
Champions Vipers SC will play Mbarara City at Kitende in an attempt to win the league title three times in a row, a record.
