Charles Livingstone Mbabazi has been named the new head coach of Mbarara City FC, a team in the Uganda Premier League.
Wasswa Bbosa, who led the Ankole Lions throughout the just finished season, is replaced by Mbabazi.
Bbosa’s one-year job contract with Mbarara City ended after the conclusion of the 2023–2024 campaign.
Mbabazi’s exit from Vipers SC in April 2024 left him without a club.
Mbabazi has a two-year contract to return to Mbarara City, according to Kawowo Sports.
Mbabazi has worked with the Uganda Revenue Authority FC, Arua Hill, Wakiso Giants, Masavu FC, Onduparaka FC, Kyetume FC, Lweza FC, and Vipers SC in the past.
Under Bbosa’s direction, Mbarara City placed 10th with 32 points in the previous campaign.
