After Kylian Mbappe completed his eagerly anticipated transfer to Real Madrid on June 3, Cristiano Ronaldo had a special message for the French star. At the end of the season, Mbappe chose not to activate his contract extension, leaving PSG as a free agent. Mbappe’s transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu was officially finalized on Monday, after much speculation.

Following the completion of his transfer, Mbappe shared a post on Instagram, in which Ronaldo chose to wish the new Real Madrid player all the best.

The French star wearing a Los Blancos shirt is going to light up the Bernabeu, according to the Real Madrid icon, who declared that it was now his time to watch. The comment is visible below:

“My turn to watch. Excited to see you light up the Bernabéu,” said Ronaldo.

In addition to Ronaldo, other former Real Madrid players who left comments on Mbappe’s tweet included David Beckham, Sergio Ramos, and Marcelo. The French celebrity shared a series of photos from his trip to Real Madrid, where he had a meeting with Ronaldo.

Mbappe highlighted his pleasure at the move’s conclusion and claimed that joining Real Madrid was a dream come true for him.

After taxes, Mbappe will get 15 million euros (16.2 million USD) a year from the newly-crowned UEFA Champions League winners under his five-year contract, according to ESPN.
