Midfielder Abasi Kyeyune has joined Egyptian top-tier side Cleopatra Celemica from SC Villa on a four-year deal according to his representative Prosper Sports Agency.
The Agency further told me that Cleopatra Celemica who is seventh in the current Egyptian Premier League activated the buyout clause in Kyeyune’s contract which was USD13,000 after Kyeyune passed the medical.
Kyeyune’s agent Denis Namanya confirmed that the midfield is in Egypt finalising his paperwork before he joins his new teammate
Kyeyune who joined SC Villa from UPDF played 21 times as the Joggos lifted the league title for the first time in 20 years
He joins Joseph Ochaya (Arab Contractors), Joachim Ojera (Arab Contractors), Travis Mutyaba (Zamalek) and Allan Kyambadde (El Daklyeh) the other Ugandans plying their trade in Egypt
