The 2024 championship game saw reigning FEASSA Boys’ Football champions St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende go to the championship game.
On Sunday, Kitende easily defeated Kenya’s Musingu Secondary School 1-0 in the first semifinal at Mbale Stadium.
The winning goal in the second half by Farouq Tumwesigye was sufficient to advance the 15-time East Africa champions to tomorrow’s final.
Amus College advanced to their second straight East Africa final with Kitende after defeating their neighbors and co-hosts, Bukedea Comprehensive, 2-0 in the other semi-final.
Amus defeated Bukedea Comprehensive 10 men to two goals each from Busulwa Davis and Ijosiga Mudasir.
Emmanuel Mubiru of Bukedea was sent off early in the match.
Kitende aims to become the 16th East African monarch, but Amus wants to exact revenge.
In the meantime, Bukedea will meet Kenya’s Musingu in the playoff match for third place.
