Arsenal exploring deal for Kingsley Coman ahead of transfer window closure

Arsenal is on high alert as it has been reported that Kingsley Coman, a winger for Bayern Munich, is keen to leave the Allianz Arena this summer.
As Bayer Leverkusen halted Bayern’s domination in the Bundesliga last season, Coman was a member of the squad’s periphery. The Frenchman might have thought that a new management would result in better results on the field.
Coman has remained a minor player for Bayern Munich under new manager Vincent Kompany, though, and it now seems he wants out. According to L’Equipe, the winger has told Kompany and his backroom team that he’s looking for a new challenge abroad.

Coman was on the squad’s fringes when Bayer Leverkusen ended Bayern’s dominance in the Bundesliga the previous season. The Frenchman may have believed that improved performance on the field would come from new management.
However, under new Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany, Coman has stayed a bit part of the team, and it appears he wants out. The winger has reportedly informed Kompany and his backroom staff that he is searching for a fresh challenge overseas, according to L’Equipe.
The European summer transfer market closes this Friday, and the Gunners are still expected to make additions. Among those anticipated to walk through the door from Real Sociedad is Mikel Merino.
Meanwhile, Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon has been connected to Arsenal as a striker.
