Rogers Mugisha, a winger from Uganda, has officially parted company with Danish second-tier team AC Horsens after eight months.
The agreement between the two sides to end the contract immediately was made public by the club.
Mugisha left Kenyan powerhouse Gor Mahia FC in January of this year to sign a two and a half year contract with Horsens.
A number of teams expressed interest in Mugisha, including AC Horsens, following his outstanding performance with the Uganda Hippos at the AFCON U20 competition held in Egypt the previous year.
After Gor Mahia won the Kenya Premier League in 2022–2023, he departed the team, but he struggled to get playing time at AC Horsens.
During his seven months at AC Horsens, Mugisha participated in four competitive games: three in the Future Cup and one in the League.
In addition, he played in the Uganda Premier League with UPDF FC and the Mbarara City Junior Team.
Mugisha participated in the 2018 AFCON competition in Tanzania as a member of the Cubs team, which represented Uganda.
