Paul Kiwanuka has been officially announced as UPDF FC’s new head coach for the upcoming 2024–2025 season.
During the second half of the season, Kiwanuka filled in for Pius Ngabo as the team’s assistant coach.
Kiwanuka has been elevated by the army troops for securing safety on the last day of the season.

Kiwanuka has a wealth of coaching experience, having held positions at Rwanda Premier League team Gasogi United, Vipers SC, and Soltilo Bright Stars.
Sam Ssekamatte, Daniel Kitala, Emmanuel Ochen, and Asaph Ssegujja have already been revealed by UPDF FC.
Winger Samson Andrew Kigozi was also introduced by the team after he left the Wakiso Giants.
