Martin Odegaard. With a perfect start to the new campaign, Arsenal will be looking to carry on when the Premier League returns.
Many Gunners players, including Declan Rice, William Saliba, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, and Kai Havertz, are abroad on international duty. When Arsenal plays again, it will be against Tottenham in a North London derby.
While on international service, Martin Odegaard, the captain of Arsenal, left the field in tears, giving the Gunners serious cause for concern. The playmaker was included in Norway’s starting lineup for their Monday matchup against Austria in the UEFA Nations League.
However, Odegaard’s foot stuck in the ground during a challenge by Christoph Baumgartner in the 67th minute, leaving an ugly-looking injury. Medical personnel hurried onto the field to tend to him right away.
The midfield player was dragged off the field after being brought to his feet in obvious pain. Odegaard appeared to be crying as he left the field of play.
