At Mbale Municipal Stadium on Saturday, URA FC defeated Mbale Heroes 4-0 thanks to a first-half hat-trick from Ivan Ahimbisibwe. After head coach Richard Malinga left, goalkeeping coach Frank Ssebagala took over as Mbale Heroes’ leader.
In the 12th minute, Ahimbisibwe gave the visitors the lead, which they doubled four minutes later.
In addition to finishing his hat-trick in the 33rd minute, he assisted Amisi Bwangani in the 59th minute to score URA’s fourth goal.
Ahimbishibwe, who scored in URA’s 1-0 victory over Bright Stars last month, now has four goals for the season.
The team led by Alex Isabirye is now third in the Uganda Premier League standings with seven points, three behind leaders KCCA FC.
The Revenue Collectors’ next match is against BUL FC on October 18 at Nakivubo Stadium. Two days prior, Mbale Heroes will visit Lugazi.
