More Cranes players join camp ahead of South Africa AFCON qualification game

The Uganda Cranes have begun their preparations for the important final two matches of Group K in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Under the guidance of Belgian head coach Paul Put, the team conducted a training session on Monday at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.

Several foreign-based players joined the training, including captain Khalid Aucho (Young Africans, Tanzania), Taddeo Lwanga (APR, Rwanda), Travis Mutyaba (Girondins Bordeaux, France), Abdu Aziizi Kayondo (FC Slovan Liberec, Czech Republic), Isaac Muleme (Victoria Zizkov, Czech Republic), Charles Lukwago (Venda FC, South Africa), and Steven Mukwala (Simba SC, Tanzania).

Players yet to join the squad include Kenneth Semakula, Rogers Mato, Bevis Mugabi, Halid Lwaliwa, along with Swedish-based forwards John Paul Dembe and Calvin Hope Kabuye. KCCA FC’s Shafik Nana Kwikir
