Fiorentina has issued an official announcement concerning Edoardo Bove’s health, who was taken to the hospital after fainting during the match between Fiorentina and Inter, leading to the game’s suspension.
Fiorentina expressed, “Edoardo Bove, who was treated on the pitch following a loss of consciousness during the Fiorentina – Inter match, is currently under pharmacological sedation and hospitalized in intensive care.”
“The Viola player arrived at the emergency room in stable condition from a haemodynamic point of view and the first cardiological and neurological tests carried out have excluded acute damage to the central nervous system and the cardio-respiratory system.”
“Edoardo Bove will be re-evaluated in the next 24 hours.”
Bove suddenly collapsed onto the field, resulting in a halt in play as both teams quickly signaled for the medical personnel to come onto the pitch and formed a protective circle around him.
He was transported off the field on a stretcher and placed into a waiting ambulance after the referee instructed both teams to exit the pitch.
The midfielder was loaned to Fiorentina from Roma for the duration of a season in August, with the possibility of making the transfer permanent.
He scored his first goal for La Viola back in October.
