Kitara FC’s Denis Omedi bags another nomination for Best goal in the CAF Awards

CAF has revealed the contenders for the 2024 Goal of the Year, including Denis Omedi’s stunning Rabona goal. Omedi netted his Rabona goal as Kitara FC triumphed over KCCA FC 3-2 in the FUFA Super 8 match held at Lugogo.
His nomination comes shortly after he was selected for the prestigious FIFA Puskas award.
Supporters will have the opportunity to cast their votes for the coveted honor.
The shortlist, crafted by an expert CAF Technical Panel, showcases 11 goals scored in CAF competitions from January to October 2024, highlighting the remarkable talent of players across the continent.
Voting has officially commenced and will close on Thursday, 12 December 2024.
To make the voting process easier, CAF has established a dedicated platform that can be found on the CAF website and its official social media channels.
Fan votes will account for 70% of the total score, while CAF’s Technical Experts will contribute the remaining 30%.
The winner will be revealed during the glamorous CAF Awards Gala, set to take place on Monday, 16 December 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco.
