Mouth Watering semi finals of the Carabao Cup set

Arsenal is set to face Newcastle in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, while defending champions Liverpool will meet Tottenham.

Before their rematch at Anfield, Premier League leaders Liverpool, who hold the record for the most cup tournament victories with ten, will play the first leg at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Spurs. Arsenal will host Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium for the first leg of their encounter before the second leg at St. James’ Park.

Furthermore, the draw sets up the exciting possibility of a North London derby in the final of the competition.

Historically, Spurs and Arsenal have clashed four times in the League Cup semi-finals—in 1968, 1987, 2007, and 2008—but have never met in a major domestic final.

The first legs of the semi-finals are scheduled for the week of January 6, 2025, while the second legs will occur in the week of February 3, 2025. The final is scheduled to be held on March 16 at Wembley Stadium.
