Mo Salah says winning the Premier League is a reality for Liverpool
December 27, 2024
Liverpool swept to the top of the standings, and Mo Salah thinks that winning the Premier League this season is “something I dream of.” On Boxing Day, Leicester City took the lead at Anfield, but the Reds pulled off a comeback victory thanks to goals from Cody Gakpo, Curtis Jones, and the Egyptian winger.
“It is a good result they were very tough in the first half and in the second half the way they prepared themselves they were very good,” said Salah to Prime Sport.
“We managed to score three goals and it was a great result.
Salah has already scored 16 goals in the Premier League this year, but his most recent goal was particularly noteworthy because it was his 100th goal at home.
“Something I am very proud of,” he said. “We keep working hard and hopefully I can go a bit further.”
The 32-year-old’s primary goal this season is to win the Premier League title for the second time since joining Liverpool, even though he is still setting personal records. With one game remaining, the team leads second-place Chelsea by seven points.
The most important thing is the team winning – hopefully we win the Premier League,” said Mo Salah.
“It is great, but we focus on each game and hopefully we carry on like that. It feels different, but the most important thing is we need to stay humble.“This one is very special, hopefully we win the Premier League and for this club it is something I dream of.”
