Alpha Ssali Thierry, a winger for Express FC, has officially joined NEC FC. On Sunday morning, Ssali signed a two-year contract. After one and a half seasons, Ssali formally departs from Express FC.
Ssali participated in 35 Express FC games, tallying three goals and dishing out two assists. Early this month, he finished his trials in Spain, which led to his much anticipated transfer to NEC FC.
Along with Ibrahim Kasinde, Paul Mucureezi, and James Jarieko, Ssali will have to contend for a starting spot in the NEC FC lineup.
The former Hippos winger is NEC FC’s first midseason transfer window acquisition by default. With 34 points from 15 games, the Hussein Mbalangu-coached team is presently ranked second in the league standings.
