Sad News as Rugby player Ronnie Kayondo dies from concussion

Ronnie Kayondo, a member of the Kampani Eagles Rugby Premiership team, sustained a concussion during the Men’s Rugby Premiership game between the Kampani Eagles and Buffaloes on Saturday, February 8th at Kyadondo Rugby Club.

The Uganda Rugby Union and Kampani Eagles jointly released a statement confirming the news, and the Uganda rugby community is in mourning for Kayondo’s passing.

“The Uganda Rugby Union, Kampani Eagles RFC and the wider rugby community mourn the loss of this promising young player, who had so much to offer. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ronnie’s family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
