Following Kai Havertz’s injury, Arsenal is said to have decided whether to recruit a free-agent striker. A hamstring injury sustained by the German attacker during Arsenal’s warm-weather training camp in Dubai last week will keep him out of action for the rest of the season. Mikel Arteta will have to rearrange his forward line because Gabriel Jesus, the Gunners’ striker, is already sidelined due to an ACL injury.
“Even after update on Kai Havertz’s injury requiring surgery, Arsenal plan remain the same: find internal solutions and focus on big signing in the summer,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Raheem Sterling, who is currently on loan from Chelsea, is probably going to join Leandro Trossard and Ethan Nwaneri in Arteta’s front three. However, with just one goal and two assists in 18 games since moving to the Emirates Stadium last summer, the English forward hasn’t impressed.
Additionally, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal won’t sign a new striker until at least the summer. It looks like the Gunners will continue to use their present attacking options for the remainder of 2024–2025, though they could recruit a free agent outside of the transfer window.
