In March, the Uganda Cranes will play two Group G FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers. The game is scheduled for March 17–18, 2025, and the Cranes will first visit Mozambique.
Then, on Tuesday, March 25, Paul Joseph Put’s team will play Guinea in front of floodlights at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
In their first-round encounter, Guinea defeated Uganda 2-1. In their most recent World Cup qualifying encounter, which took place at Namboole in June of last year, Uganda lost 2-1 to Algeria.
With nine points, Algeria leads group G at the moment, followed by Mozambique with nine points as well. Somalia is at the bottom with zero points, while Bostwana, Guinea, and Uganda are all on six points.
The runner-up may play in the second round to go to the inter-confederation play-offs, while the group winner will automatically qualify for the World Cup.
