It is well known that Barcelona has been aggressively looking to bolster their goalkeeping unit, and according to a recent update from Fichajes, Andriy Lunin of Real Madrid was one of the names that recently came up in their conversations.

The Catalan team was thinking about signing the Ukrainian goalie, who is now a backup at Real Madrid. During a meeting with Jorge Mendes, who represents a number of well-known players, Barcelona president Joan Laporta reportedly asked questions regarding Lunin’s circumstances.

Discussions on Lamine Yamal’s future were also covered in this conversation. However, as Real Madrid made their position known, any dreams of obtaining Lunin’s services were promptly dashed.

There was an agreement that the club would consider offers if the player chose to go, even though Lunin recently extended his contract with Los Blancos until 2030.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, has no intention of aiding a deal to their fiercest rivals under any circumstances, according to people familiar with the matter.
