Popularly known as Mia Mia, Jackson Mayanja was brought in to fill Morley Byekwaso who resigned from the club after lackluster performances.

Mayanja led the Kasasiro boys to challenge for the trophy which they eventually lost to Vipers on goal difference.

According to sources, it is said that Mayanja has received two offers outside Uganda. One is from a Rwandan club while another is by a Kenyan side.

While at KCCA, Mayanja took charge of the 13 league champions in 8 games, he won 4, drew 3 and lost one.

Prior to joining KCCA, he bad been the headcoah of the Uganda Hippos. Previously he has managed clubs such as KCCA FC, Bunamwaya FC (now Vipers SC), Kagera, Simba, Kyetume FC, AS Kigali and Uganda Hippos.
