One of Arsenal’s longest serving players, Rob Holding is on the verge of exiting the club according to incoming news.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the former Bolton Wanderers defender is currently in discussions with the club to find a way forward.
Apparently there are some Spanish clubs vying for his signature and are asking about the conditions of a potential deal.
“Rob Holding, still expected to leave Arsenal in the final days of the transfer window. There are discussions now ongoing to make it happen. #AFC Understand there are also Spanish clubs asking for conditions of Holding deal.”
Holding has been with the Gunners since 2016 and has overseen about four managers including Arsene Wenger who signed him.
Game time seems like will be hard to come by for the English man as he seems to be further down the pecking order.
Mikel Arteta’s preferred defensive partnership has been between Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba with Ben White drifting to right back.
There is also Polish centre back Jakub Kiwior and with the arrival of Jurrien Timber who despite got injured for the majority part of the season, Holding seems like he won’t be getting more minutes.
