Here is the Napoli video mocking Victor Oshimen as player prepares to sue club
September 27, 2023
Napoli striker Victor Oshimen’s agent Roberto Calenda has revealed how his client is ready to sue the Naples based club following a controversial video posted on the club’s TikTok page.
I’m this video, mockery voices are heard imitating Oshimen begging for a penalty from the referee. Eventually he gets it and puts it wide. This derogatory video was however deleted.
And according to the player’s agent, he’s ready to take legal action because this is not the first time the club is setting him up for abuse.
“BREAKING: Victor Osimhen could take legal action against Napoli — per his agent Roberto Calenda formal statement.
“What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted”.
“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news”.
“We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor”.
This all erupted from the Napoli game against Bologna which ended in a nil nil stalemate. Coach Rudi Garcia subbed off the Nigerian which angered him and he expressed his anger at the touchline.
However, Oshimen apologized to his teammates and the coaching staff for his behaviour after this game. The behaviour from the club’s TikTok page is therefore abhorrent.
The 25 year old however has never gotten the appreciation he deserves from the Serie A club. He was the league’s top scorer last season and arguably the best player in the league and at the club.
It was his goals that led Napoli to their first Scuddeto in 30 years since Diego Maradona. However, instead his teammate Kvara Kvarashtkelia was crowned with all the flowers.
Lots of people are now urging him to terminate the contract and move away from the club. Meanwhile Seria A is one of the racist leagues where black players have suffered racist abuse in the past couple of years.
