Over the years, Africa has produced some of the best footballers of all time. They have given us countless and unforgettable moments over time in the different countries and leagues they have played in.

Does he need any introduction. Eto’o is without a doubt one of the best goalscorers of our generation. He plyed his trade for the likes of Mallorca, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Chelsea, among others. The Cameroonian is also the AFCON’s top goal scorer.
Not so popular but his goal scoring mercurial will always be one of the greatest from the black man’s continent. Widely regarded as the best Zambian player of all time, he played for Kitwe United and Kabwe Warriors. Chitalu passed away in 1992 aged just 45.
Not a surprise that the Ivorian makes the list as his goalscoring prowess was one of the best. A menace for defenders and goalkeepers, Drogba played for the likes of
Marseille, Chelsea, Shanghai Shenhua, Galatasaray among others.
The Congolese played for teams such as Hull City, Royal Antwerp, Standard Liege, Monaco, Wolfsburg among others. He’s still an active footballer playing for Armenian club FC Noah and is also captain of the DR Congo national team.
Currently, he’s Egypt’s top goal scorer with 83 goals from 176 appearances. He played for clubs such as Al Ahly, PAOK, Zamalek among others.
The Ghanian is another famous African Football player. Asamoah Gyan played for clubs such as Sunderland among others.
The only African player to win a Ballon D’or and this was 1996. He played for teams such as AC Milan. Currently he’s President of Liberia.
