Coach Mike Mutebi reveals what KCCA FC should do for their troubles
November 6, 2023
Former KCCA FC manager Mike Mutebi has advised what his former club should do in order to avoid their current crisis. It should be recalled that Mutebi was abruptly sacked by the club in 2021.
However since then, they have had two three coaches including Morley Byekwaso and Portuguese, Sergio Traguil. None of these though are yet to replicate Mutebi’s success.
The coach nonetheless recommended for the club to hire Coach Abdallah Mubiru because he understands the club properly. And whether he would consider going back there, Mutebi said that he closed that chapter and can’t even reconsider it.
On top of that, he said that he left after the club’s hierarchy tried to interfere with his work. Besides, there is a lot of political interference there.
“They didn’t prepare for my exit and I think that is why@KCCAFCis struggling, I exited when they started interference. It seems there’s a lot of political interference at @KCCAFC. I am very disappointed with what is happening at @KCCAFC because the current management in place has destroyed what was put in place. My journey at @KCCAFC is done and I can’t reconsider it. KCCA FC should sign Coach Abdullah Mubiru because he knows the club,” said Mike Mutebi.
In regards to the Uganda Cranes job, he said that he doesn’t understand how the federation appointed someone convicted of match fixing. It should be recalled that FIFA last week named Joseph Put Paul as the new Cranes manager.
However, he’s been convicted of match fixing in different countries but FUFA went ahead to appoint him. Mutebi who was rumoured for the job said that he didn’t apply for it. This is because he should be the one being hunted for and not the other way round
